Personal breakthroughs and mindset shifts can occur from a variety of methods. One of the more interesting ones that is growing in popularity is using psychedelic methods. These may come in many forms: breathwork, meditation, and plant medicine such as psylocibin (aka magic mushrooms). Whether
it’s one session or multiple in order to achieve the intention, the experience itself can feel magical and transformative. However, it’s the time spent on integration after that requires the real work and commitment to witness the largest sustained changes.
Integration can occur however it serves you best from moment to moment. For many, during and immediately after the best support comes in the form of reflecting and sharing, especially if others have had a similar experience. Being still and silent allows messages to return or flow anew. Journaling can be invaluable to capture the thoughts and messages that come, both during actual experiences, as well as after over the next few days or weeks. Walking and spending time in nature is a powerful way to gently flow with the epiphanies and breakthroughs. Reading or listening to music along the same topics of what is being sought can help provide synchronicities and revelations that are otherwise unexpected. Spending time in play, creating art, or otherwise utilizing the right hemisphere of the brain allows processing in a unique way for the brain to achieve more connections.
As with all personal progress and growth, being grateful for what new changes or breakthroughs occur ingratiate the shifts in a deeper and more foundational way. Through these intentions of gratitude, you’re also primed to find more moments of bliss and peace. Integrating life-changing psychedelic experiences into one’s being is rewarding in a way unique from other modalities of personal reframing.
